Reproducing Your Public Christian Experience in Your Private Life

Are you reproducing your public Christian experience in your private life?

I know you join the church to pray for six hours and you do it well.

But how long do you pray when it’s just you in your room?

I know you sit in church to listen to the Pastor’s two hours sermons every week.

But for how long do you study privately?

I have seen you laugh, leap, run around, and glow with joy in church in rejoicing.

But do you have these moments when you’re alone?

That piousness that you’re known with in church, do your neighbours bear testimony of the same?

Oh, what joy as we get ministered to as you flow in the things of the Spirit in utterance and revelation.

But do you do these things when it’s just you and we’ve all gone home?

You know that you’ve indeed gained mastery and that the training of the Spirit has taken you over, if you’re able to sweatlessly reproduce your public Christian experience in your private life.

If that isn’t so, no worries.

Yield yourself more and determine to do it.

The Christian life is beyond public experiences, it’s an everyday thing. Our things in Christ aren’t just meant for expression when we gather; they are for our everyday lives.
