There are many things you’d never get to be able to explain.
One of them is “Why God chose to use a man.”
“Since the day that I [God] brought forth My people Israel out of Egypt, I chose [God] no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house that My Name [and My Presence] might be in it, but I chose David to be over My people Israel.”
1 Kings 8:16 AMPC
“Jesse sent and brought him. David had a healthy reddish complexion and beautiful eyes, and was fine-looking. The Lord said [to Samuel], Arise, anoint him; this is he whom I have chosen.”
1 Samuel 16:12 AMPC
“But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard many people tell about this man, especially how much evil and what great suffering he has brought on Your saints at Jerusalem;
But the Lord said to him, Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the descendants of Israel;”
Acts 9:13, 15 AMPC
These are but a few.
It’s called The sovereignty of God.
He chooses who he decides, by His own will.
Paul had flaws too –
Had threatened and killed lots of believers, meanwhile when Ananias begun to complain about Paul the Lord told him, “ Shut up! , he’s chosen. ”
Sometimes when the Lord calls you, it’s easy to come with lots of complains and questions.
“God, why me?”
“God, I did an abortion last year.”
“God, I even masturbate.”
“God, I think you’re looking at the wrong person now.”
“Eii! God, do you know the bad things I’ve done?”
“God, I didn’t even go to school.”
“I am a failure, all my life.”
With all these complaints and ranting, He’s saying, “Shut up! I called you – by My own sovereign will.”
He does it His own way.
And in most cases, He’s not even looking at your inadequacies.
God saw our inadequacies yet He chose you.
How He does it?
It’s called His sovereignty.
So, the next time you feel inadequate and not capable.
Smile and say, “He chose me, not because I can by my will, but because of His Grace.”
Sometimes, we’re tempted to think He chooses the wisest, or the bravest, or the most eloquent, or the most vibrant.
He looked at none of these!
None!
He chooses whom he wills.
And praise God, He chose you to be a part of His people who will be heralding this great work!
And always remember.
He qualifies the called!
