Touching spiritual things

As touching spiritual things, those whom we see as experts aren’t as such.
They are only consistent and disciplined with what they do.

Aren’t there times we feel someone is ‘overly spiritual’ and we can’t be like them?

Or we feel like, they are too ‘good’, and God hasn’t made us like that or created us that way?

There are two nuggets in all the ‘big things’ you see –
Consistency and discipline.

Lots of people today are hardly consistent.

They start building up a life of prayer and dedication to the word today, and stop in two weeks time.

You’ll hardly get anywhere with this attitude.

In fact no one gets anywhere with inconsistency.

“The hand of the diligent will rule, But the negligent and lazy will be put to forced labor.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭AMP

The one who is diligent, gains mastery.

The last one becomes the “boy boy.”

To be diligent is to keep at an activity, hard and long.

To be diligent in prayer, will be praying hard (fervently) and long (at all times and not ceasing).

Same applies to Bible study –
Hard and long!

It doesn’t always have to be some skimpy reading you do.

It has to be hard and long!

Even when it comes to the manifestation of spiritual gifts, it’s something you’ve got to crave and yearn for and keep doing.

Same with natural talents and abilities.

Pastor Nathaniel Bassey , whom I greatly revere, talks about how many countless hours he spends in the studio.

It’s mind blowing.

Meanwhile all men know him for is, “That man who gives us nice songs.”

It’s always going to take diligence and consistency.

Always!

Even when it comes to learning scriptures or committing it to memory.

You’ll have to sometimes “chew” them!

Yes you heard me.

Saying them over and over again to yourself.

You Keep at it, when it’s hard and when it’s not.

When men are hailing or not.

When you feel like it or not.

Keep at it.
